As well as being a translator, I am an experienced copy editor, often working on academic articles but open to all sorts of work. I have always been interested in how producing and reading translations affects the way we write in our mother tongue, and have written a book on the influence of French poetry in England between 1880 and 1940. I have also published several articles on related subjects, including Aubrey Beardsley’s use of French sources.
